Government Goliaths against WikiLeaks' David

WikiLeaks unveils only marginal and anecdotic aspects of political hypocrisy. Yet this proves sufficient to unleash the wrath of government Goliaths peeved by Julian Assange's quixotic challenge. Inquisitors set on his trail are more comfortable with the chronic double talk of political "elites" than with the freedom of speech of potential whistle blowers.

Intellectuals such as Daniel Ellberg, Noam Chomsky and others have identified the stakes at play. They have signed a petition launched by FAIR to support WikiLeaks on the grounds of freedom of the press.
